1st European Junior Deaf Athletics Championships

Deaf UK Athletics is looking for talented junior athletes to represent Great Britian at the 1st European Deaf Athletics Championships in Poland on 21st – 22nd September 2012
There is no qualification standard, but to be eligible, individuals must be:-

1. between 16-19yrs on 15th September 2012

2. “deaf” according to Deaflympics regulation which is defined as a hearing loss of at least 55 dB per tone average in the better ear (3-tone frequency average at 500, 1000 and 2000 Hertz, ISO 1969 Standard –audiogram completed in official Deaflympics form – download from www.deafukathletics.org.uk)

3. a member of an Athletics Club

4. register participation through Deaf UK Athletics

5. hold a current valid UK passport

Closing date for team selection is 10th June 2012

UK Deaf Sport is also responsible for the selection and management of the DeaflympicsGB Team, the official team that represents Great Britain at the Summer and Winter Deaflympics.
