Chairman of GB Deaf Swimming Club Congratulates EFDS Entrants

Jim Joyce, Chairman of GB Deaf Swimming Club said ‘ Congratulations to all the competitors at the EFDS National Junior Para-Swimming Championships 2017 held in Sunderland 24th & 25th June. I was delighted that our deaf swimmers (S15) were included in the weekend which allowed 7 of our GB Deaf Swimming Club members to attend and achieve 26 personal bests including one GB age group record by 12 year old Letisha Ellis. My sincere thanks to EFDS for a great event & their continued support of deaf swimming. Hopefully, we can look forward to many more multi-classification events which include S15 at both junior & senior swimmer level as all the GB disabled athletes strive to reach the pinnacle of their swimming pathways at the Paralympics and Deaflympics’
