County Durham to run Sport Deaf awareness Training

County Durham Sport are to run the first Deaf Awareness workshop for Sport in the County.

A recent survey by the National Deaf Childrens Society found that over 50% of sports clubs were not confisent about communication with people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The Sports Coach UK course Effective Communication  : Coaching Dear People in Sport provides the training and basic knowledge of how to communicate with people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Time : 9.30am – 12,30pm

venue : East Durham College, Prescott Sports Centre, Willerby Grove, Peterlee, County Durham SR8 2RN
