Deaf Athletics Championship

IMG_1037 copyThe 5th European Indoor Deaf Athletics Championship  is taking place at the Torun Arena in Poland from 17th to 19th March 2016.

14 nations will be represented by over 70 athletes, with the GB team made up of John Ruddy, Chris Kay and Jonny Wilkinson.

John Ruddy, competing in the 60m event, is hoping to beat his result from the 2015 European Outdoor championship where he won Bronze.  John is in fine form, having recently competed at the Indoor Scottish BUCS and Scottish National Indoors.  Both he and Chris Kay are competing after the Opening Ceremony on 17th March, with Chris debuting in Shot.  The GB Team Trio is completed by Jonny Wilkinson, running on Saturday in the 3000m.  He has had a strong winter of training in cross country
