DeaflympicsGB appoint Head Physiotherapist

DeaflympicsGB are proud to announce the appointment of Stephanie Dear as Head Physiotherapist for the Deaflympics in Samsun, Turkey this summer.

Steph graduated from Kings College London in 2010, immediately from which she began to work at Cambridge Rugby Club.  After a year as intern she was promoted to Head Physiotherapist, a position she held for a further 4 seasons.

This led to her obtaining the Head Physiotherapist role with Eastern Counties Rugby Club and a position with England Touch Rugby.  She has worked with Cambridge University Rugby League and American Football and more recently worked with Newport County Football Club and GB canoeing.

Chef de Mission Christof Niklaus commented on Stephanie’s appointment “We are delighted to have secured the services of someone with Stephanie’s calibre, experience and passion.  I have no doubt that she will prove to be a huge asset to the DeaflympicsGB team that we are building for Samsun as we strive to perform at the very highest level in the Deaflympics.”
