Planning starts for DSPY 2016

Now we are in 2016 the Deaf Sports Personality of the Year’s fourth Bi-annual Award evening is moving into its actively planning phase. The event will be held at Arsenal FC, Emirates Stadium in London on Saturday the 12th of November 2016.

The awards are very much on the rise after previous success event so in order to continue the growth of the event they are looking for volunteers who would be interested in supporting in the following area.

Voluntary Roles for DSPY2016 Awards 

2 x Assistant Fundraising Officers (Northern Region):- Responsible to organise the entertainment or sport event(s) in the Northern Region, To be involved with fundraising for DSPY2016 Awards Night. Those roles will report directly to the Sponsorship Officer.

2 x Assistant Fundraising Officers (Southern Region):- Responsible to organise the entertainment or sport event(s) in the Southern Region, To be involved with fundraising for DSPY2016 Awards Night. Those roles will report directly to Sponsorship Officer.

2 x Assistant Advertising Officers:- To be involved with advertising online and DSPY2016 programme booklet to raise money for DSPY2016 Awards Night. Those roles will report directly to the Webmaster.

Assistant Floor Manager:- An energetic person are required who can assist us to ensure the overall continuity of the show. Understanding of a range of techniques to capture and oversee core strategy to work with the AV Media and DSPY will be essential.  

Photographer:- To take photos of the athletes, sponsorships and audience at the event along with our expert photographer. The photos will be published for DSPY’s website and shared with the local/national publications upon request.

5 x Volunteers:- To Support the whole DSPY team and prepare the programme plan on the day.  Any skills are welcome and all efforts will be needed.

The roles will begin from Monday 7th March 2016 till the end of December 2016.  All volunteers will be supported by the events Co-ordinators.
