Dear golfers

2011 EDGA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
We are pleased to announce that the venue for 2011 EDGA National Championship will be George Washington Golf Club, near Gateshead, North East England. See www.georgewashington.co.ukfor more details and address.

The purpose of staging the venue in different part of England is to give players a chance to play in their own regions, rather than having to spend a lot of travelling whilst other players can have a short trip. Last year’s venue was Sandwich, Kent (South East England) and 2012 will be staged in the Midlands.

To be eligible to play in National Championship, you will have to pay a fee for EDGA Membership. An announcement on membership packages will be revealed shortly.

Prices for Accommodation/Green fees:

For golfers with accommodation:

210 for four rounds, two nights’ stay with use of spa and pool facilities, breakfast and dinner.

For lady golfers with accommodation:

170 for two rounds, two nights’ stay with use of spa and pool facilities, breakfast and dinner.

For golfers with no accommodation:

145 for four rounds. If they wish to stay for a meal, they can pay 22.95 on the day.

For lady golfers with no accommodation:

75 for two rounds. If they wish to stay for a meal, they can pay 22.95 on the day.

For non golfers with accommodation:

130 for two nights stay with use of spa and pool facilities, breakfast and dinner.

For non golfers with no accommodation:

Free! However if they want to join for a meal, they can pay 22.95 on the day.

We shall have a raffle (in order to raise funds for EDGA) after final night’s dinner and we will have a presentation for winners (0-14 handicaps and 14+ handicaps, both nett and gross scores) after the final round.

To cast a vote for a date:

We have been offered several dates and we need you to cast a vote to choose a date that is suitable. That was agreed at AGM earlier this month.

Can you put your 1st and 2nd choice in case that date is already booked at hotel:

MAY

Saturday 28th to Monday 30th (Bank Holiday) – 1 round on Sat/2 rounds on Sun/1 round on Mon

JUNE

Friday 10th to Sunday 12th – 1 round on Fri/2 rounds on Sat/1 round on Sun

Friday 17th to Sunday 19th – 1 round on Fri/2 rounds on Sat/1 round on Sun
