The club was opened in 2002 and has grown over a decade forming a 45 hole complex which consists of the 18 hole Codrington, 18 hole Stranahan and 9 hole Water Garden Courses. It was all designed by Adrian Stiff who is also currently the Director of Golf and has designed a number of courses in the South West which includes Forest Hills, Cumberwell Park and the Kendalshire.

The Codrington Course has developed the reputation of being one of the toughest courses in South-West England. From the back tees the course stretches to over 7,200 yards, however from the medaltees measures a slightly less intimidating 6,625 yards.

With a par of 72 and a Standard Scratch Score of 73 the Codrington offers a true test for any level of golfers. The course has been framed amongst woodland areas and combining an ecletic blend of modern and links-style design with numerous bunkers and lakes coming into play on almost every hole which further adds to the exciting character of the course.
