Following ICSD regulation amendments approved in 2013 which mandated now make it possible for any Home Nations to participate at European and World Deaf Football Championships, UKDS invited the three Home Nations FAs – England, Scotland and Wales – to enter the forthcoming 2019 European Deaf Football Championships and the 2020 World Deaf Football Championships.
UKDS are delighted to announce that The FA (England) accepted the invitation and have entered both men and women teams in partnership with GBDF while Scotland and Wales FAs declined as they felt the time was not right until they had more resources. The FA and GBDF are in discussion about a formal arrangement and further information will be released as when available.
At the recent EDSO draw in Larissa, Greece, England Deaf Men found out who they will face in the European qualifiers while England Deaf Women will qualify automatically for the 2019 European Deaf Football Championships.  England Deaf Men are drawn against Turkey and the Czechs in the European Qualifiers.
