ICSD CEO Resigns

15 October 2010

Dear ICSD Members,

I regret to announce that Tiffany Granfors, Chief Executive Officer, is leaving the ICSD organization after 10 years of service to join Abused Deaf Women’s Advocacy Services (ADWAS) as their new Executive Director, effective after the 2011 Winter Deaflympics in Slovakia.

ICSD has been extremely fortunate to have Tiffany’s excellent leadership and mentoring skills over the past 10 years. In 2003, she relocated to Switzerland for one and half years to obtain her master’s degree in Sports Administration and Technology and did an internship at the International Olympic Committee which as a result strengthened ICSD’s relationship with the IOC.

Tiffany has shown great dedication to the betterment of ICSD. Over the years, her myriad accomplishments have included establishing Deaf Women Sports Leadership Seminars; increasingly successful Winter and Summer Deaflympics; and implementation of the new ICSD anti-doping program as approved by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)–among others too numerous to list here. Although she is leaving us soon, she will always be appreciated not only by ICSD but also by member nations from all over the world.

The ICSD Board and Staff are pleased that Tiffany Granfors will continue to support ICSD with the search for the new CEO that will begin in the next few weeks. ICSD will work to ensure a smooth transition from Tiffany’s tenure to that of the new CEO.

More details about the opening of this CEO position will be forthcoming.

Sincerely,

Craig A. Crowley

President
