Merry Christmas from UK Deaf Sport

UK Deaf Sport Christmas Message

UK Deaf Sport Executive Chair, Piers Martin would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Here are a few of our favourite highlights from 2017:

This year, we secured three years of funding from Sport England to continue the good work we’re doing to raise participation levels of deaf people in sport and physical activity across the UK. We’ve had a great year working in new areas and look forward to continuing this work with our partners in 2018.

DeaflympicsGB team celebrated a successful campaign at the 23rd Summer Deaflympics in Samsun, Turkey. The team won a total of nine medals (three gold, one silver and five bronze), smashing their pre-Games target of five.
