Talk to us at Manchester Deaf Community Forum

UK Deaf Sport, Manchester Deaf  Centre and GreaterSport would like to invite you to a Deaf Community Forum taking place on Wednesday 28 February 2018 at Manchester Deaf Centre.

The focus of the forum will be to hear deaf people’s views of sport and physical activity. In particular, sharing your views and feedback on how the plans UK Deaf Sport and GreaterSport have been exploring to deliver over the next three years can be achieved, and most importantly meet the wants and needs of deaf people across the city.

We want to work together with local organisations to help build a place where deaf people feel inspired and are able to participate in sport and physical activity opportunities.

Manchester Deaf Community Forum will take place on Wednesday 28 February from 7-9pm at Manchester Deaf Centre, Crawford House, Booth Street East, Manchester M13 9GH. 

Refreshments will be provided during the session.

UK Deaf Sport works in partnership with key organisations to ensure that deaf children, young people and adults have equal opportunities to participate and excel in sport and physical activity as their hearing counterparts from grassroots to elite level.

As the National Governing Body for Deaf Sport, UK Deaf Sport are responsible for ensuring good governance including the administration and coordination of deaf sport teams competing abroad at both a British and Home Nation level. UK Deaf Sport is also responsible for the selection and management of the DeaflympicsGB Team, the official team that represents Great Britain at the Summer and Winter Deaflympics.
