UK Deaf Sport Consultation Event
On April 19th Sport England announced a new £8m funding initiative aimed at increasing participation within Disability Sport. Organisation are being invited to make application to this fund for project s that will reduce the barriers faced by people with a disability and increase the access to Sport and Physical Activity.
In order to ensure that deaf people benefit from this opportunity, and that our application reflects the needs, views and opinions of deaf and hard of hearing people. UK Deaf Sport is running a series of consultation events during Deaf Awareness Week to establish the key projects that it will include into its bid.
Sessions will be running across the country to hopefully reduce the need to travel too far and to ensure that as many people as possible can get involved. An option of two times at each venue will again enable people to attend at a time that suits
