UK Deaf Sport link with Mifinder
Finding someone with the same interests as you can sometime be difficult. Whether that’s linking with footballer to make up a team or just finding someone to run or cycle with to help keep fit. Now their is an easy and fun way to do this online with Mifinder
UK Deaf Sport is please to highlight that we are starting to link with a social support platform Mifinder to promote mutual support and local connections within the hard-of-hearing community.
Available on iOS, Mifinder uses instant messaging and location-based searches to help users meet new people who share their life experiences. These discussions coincides with Mifinder’s redesign to focus on these Life Experiences, which include hearing difficulties, depression, living with cancer, war veterans and using a wheelchair. The latest update provides improved profiles and a new search screen, ordering users by distance with information about their name and life experiences.
CEO and Founder Gabriel Saclain said, “We’re excited about working with UK Deaf Sport as it will give hard-of-hearing users across the country more opportunities to engage with each other for local activities. It will mean raising awareness of Mifinder for the thousands of hard-of-hearing people UK Deaf Sport represents, while in turn giving hard-of-hearing users a platform to find and meet like-minded others in their area, to help organise sports teams and events.”
