Over the past few weeks UK Deaf Sport has been working to create a strong and purposeful response to the UK Sport Consultation on the “No Compromise” funding policy for elite level sport funding.
Through this work we have shared information and consulted with our partners, highlighting the need for change and for deaf athletes to be recognised and supported to achieve their full potential in sport, whatever podium that is on.
We have been very pleased and would like to thank all our partner organisations and individuals that have also contributed to the consultation process and submitted their own response in support of our objective to gain greater recognition for deaf sports people.
We hope that the outcome from this will be the opportunity to move forward with new partnerships with governmental agencies and sporting bodies to create further sporting success on a world stage that our nation can be proud of.
