UK Deaf Sport, the charity (number 1111776), was established in June 2003

Special Meeting of Deaf Sport Specific Groups

The first ever meeting was on Saturday 14 June 2003 at Manchester United Football Club’s Conference and Education team, 60 people were in attendance

UKDS has appointed

  • Stuart Harrison as Development Manager for UKDS
  • Chris Ratcliffe as Chef de Mission for 2005 Deaflym pic Working Party

European Deaf Sports Organisation (EDSO)

UKDS was granted membership of the European Deaf Sports Organisation (EDSO) in May 2006.

International Committee of Sports for the Deaf

It has been a member of the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) since March 2006.

Craig Crowley – Honorary President

The Chair (Philip Gerrard) formally welcomed Craig A. Crowley, MBE (past President of International Committee of Sport for the Deaf and Chair of UKDS) who has accepted the role of Honorary President.
