UKDS backs Crowley for second term

UK Deaf Sport has today formally announced Craig Crowley’s candidacy to run for a second term as ICSD President, for the years 2013-2017.

UKDS endorses their former Chair and current ICSD President, Craig Crowley MBE, to run for a second term as ICSD President at the Executive Board elections at the Sofia Congress later this month.

UK Deaf Sport Chair Philip Gerrard, commented:

“I’m extremely pleased that Craig Crowley is determined to continue to deliver a high-level sports policy worldwide.

“More importantly, Craig will be modernising the ethos of the Deaflympic Movement.

“The UKDS Board has seen Craig develop his strategy for the ICSD over the last four years and we believe that with his updated manifesto for 2013-2017, he remains the best person to take ICSD onto the next level.

“Craig has clearly set out his targets which will truly benefit all Deaf athletes.”

UKDS also wishes to announce that Craig has just launched his own campaign website and manifesto entitled: Way Forward, Positive Changes.  Visit Craig’s website at www.craigcrowley2013.com.

“The ICSD has a long and proud history of serving the needs of Deaf sport.

“I am very much looking forward to be able to continue my public service to that proud history and take it into the new dimension as we begin closer relations with the world of sport.”
