UK Deaf Sport is pleased to announce we have extended our ongoing partnership with McDonald’s Fun Football to offer specific football opportunities for deaf children aged 5 to 11.
McDonald’s Fun Football offers football for children aged 5 to 11 of all abilities. Sessions are free sessions and are led by experienced and qualified coaches. Through fun games and activities, children can build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy football in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment.
We are now taking applications from organisations to deliver 8 weeks of sessions starting in September/October 2026.
What will centres receive?
Centres will receive funding for the programme to cover:
- British Sign Language Interpreter Costs
- Coaches Costs
- Venue Costs
Organisations will also receive McDonald’s Fun Football branded football equipment and coaches kit.
What does UK Deaf Sport expect from deliverers?
UK Deaf Sport will ask for the below from successful applicants:
- Sign and return a Service Level Agreement outlining the terms of the funding.
- Ensure all coaches delivering on the programme hold a minimum Introduction to Coaching Football Award (Level One), DBS Certificate, Safeguarding Children Training and First Aid Training.
- That organisations have Liability Insurance with an indemnity limit of £5 million.
- The use of ClubSpark to register all participants and update registers on the system.
- Completion of a case study form for use in the programme’s Impact Report.
