DeaflympicsGB Athletes Fly Out To Tokyo for the Deaflympics.

This week, members of Team GB are flying to Tokyo in readiness for the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics opening ceremony on November 15th, an event marking 100 years of Deaflympics.

Over the next two weeks, 65 athletes from the DeaflympicsGB Team will compete in football, athletics, shooting, cycling, swimming, golf, and tennis against other top deaf athletes from around the world.

The road to Tokyo

Our DeaflympicsGB Team have had to raise much of the funds needed to reach Tokyo individually, as they receive no government funding.

The road to a worldwide sporting platform is never a smooth one but we believe the atheltes heading to the Deaflympics are even more remarkable for overcoming this extra funding obstacle. You can still donate to help the team make up those vital funds on our JustGiving page.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to the campaign through donations and sponsorship, particularly our headline sponsor SignVideo.
