We are actively working with a range of partners in the sport and physical activity sector to improve awareness, raise the profile of deaf sport and show the positive impact when it is made accessible to deaf people.

Lead

Campaigning for the inclusion of deaf people in all areas of sport and physical activity. Being the main source of information of deaf sports news and activity in the UK. Sharing the knowledge and leading on implementing new clear pathways for various areas of sports and physical activity.

Grow

Building and strengthening the connections among organisations from grassroots level to elite. Maintaining a strong support network and growing the support for deaf people needs in the sector.

UK Deaf Sport works in partnership with key organisations to ensure that deaf children, young people and adults have equal opportunities to participate and excel in sport and physical activity as their hearing counterparts from grassroots to elite level.

As the National Governing Body for Deaf Sport, UK Deaf Sport are responsible for ensuring good governance including the administration and coordination of deaf sport teams competing abroad at both a British and Home Nation level. UK Deaf Sport is also responsible for the selection and management of the DeaflympicsGB Team, the official team that represents Great Britain at the Summer and Winter Deaflympics.
