Deaf Athlete Video Series

Launched on Deaf Awareness Week 2021, we have compiled a collection of videos from deaf athletes across various different sports to share their experiences as a deaf athlete. A big thank you to those who helped start this series.

Update: For October 2021 Black history month, we have introduced two more Deaf Athlete videos to the collection.

We hope to expand this collection to inspire a range of future deaf athletes, in which ever sport they choose. Should you want to be involved help help us build this collection or add your own story, then please do get in touch with hannah.evans@ukds.org.uk.

UK Deaf Sport works in partnership with key organisations to ensure that deaf children, young people and adults have equal opportunities to participate and excel in sport and physical activity as their hearing counterparts from grassroots to elite level.

As the National Governing Body for Deaf Sport, UK Deaf Sport are responsible for ensuring good governance including the administration and coordination of deaf sport teams competing abroad at both a British and Home Nation level. UK Deaf Sport is also responsible for the selection and management of the DeaflympicsGB Team, the official team that represents Great Britain at the Summer and Winter Deaflympics.
