Recruiting Team Doctor for DeaflympicsGB

DeaflympicsGB is recruiting a volunteer Team Doctor to support and join the team in Tokyo, Japan in November 2025.

Could you support the DeaflympicsGB team to achieve medal success at the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics?

Role

The primary role of the DeaflympicsGB Team Doctor is to lead on all areas of medical
treatment, prevention and anti-doping for all members of the DeaflympicGB Team
including athletes and support staff at the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics.

Support also needed for pre-event preparation, delivery during the event and post event follow up and debrief.

The DeaflympicsGB Team Doctor will be based in Tokyo with the Core Staff
Management Team and with the following sports teams, athletics, golf, tennis,
swimming, cycling and shooting.

The DeaflympicsGB Team Doctor will be a collaborative member of the
DeaflympicsGB Core Staff Management Team during the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics
and line Manage the Team Physiotherapist.

DeaflympicsGB Team Doctor will play a key role in the Core Team for the Deaflympics
in Tokyo. However, this is a voluntary role because we receive no funds from the UK Government and rely solely on donations and sponsorship.

DeaflympicsGB will arrange and pay for:

  • flights as part of the team travel plans.
  • hotels – this package includes food (breakfast, packed lunch, dinner).
  • travel between hotel & venues.
  • provision of team kit.
