Day 7 was a slightly quieter day in Tokyo, with athletes takaing part in golf, swimming and tennis. Let’s see how they all got on!
Golf
It was time for the Mixed Pairs on Day 7. In the Mixed Pairs a and man and a woman pair up and take it in turns to hit the ball until they get it in the hole. GB entered two pairs; Aiden Silman-Kelly & Karen Ellam and Paul Waring and Lydia Ingman.
They all had a good day out on the course but missed out on medal positions, with Paul and Lydia finishing in 6th position and Karen and Aiden in 13th.
‘Today our team was playing together for the first time. It’s a new thing for me and my first time at the Deaflympics. It was a little bit different but I enjoyed it.’ Lydia Ingman
Swimming
In the Women’s 50m Breaststroke Nicola Hutchison came in a respectable 5th. Charlotte Gower showed she’s still got plenty of energy left, coming in third in her semi-final heat for the Women’s Freestyle 100m and getting her through to the finals.
We’ll be cheering on Charlotte and the other swimming athletes again today as they compete for more medals.
Tennis
It was a great result for Esah Hayat and Lewis Fletcher in the Men’s Doubles quarter-finals, as they beat their Italian competitiors 6-4, 6-4.
They will be back to compete in the semi-finals soon!
