Destination Deaflympics Project Officer

UK Deaf Sport works with key partners to ensure that deaf children, young people and adults have equal opportunities to participate and excel in sport and physical activity as their hearing counterparts from grassroots to elite level. We also select and manage the DeaflympicsGB Team, the official team that represents Great Britain at the Summer and Winter Deaflympics.

UK Deaf Sport is seeking a Project Officer to lead and manage the delivery of Destination Deaflympics – UK Deaf Sport’s exciting new Youth Engagement Programme. Destination Deaflympics is aiming to inspire deaf children aged 8 to 14 and their families to get active and raise awareness of deaf sport, deaf athletes and the Deaflympics. 

The Project Officer will oversee the design of the programme, implementation within deaf schools and local deaf children’s societies across the UK as well as monitor and evaluate its impact and legacy.

We specifically welcome applications from those with lived experience of deafness and from the deaf community.

GB Deaf Football Head Coach – Men’s Squad

Great Britain Deaf Football is the national organisation responsible for Great Britain International Deaf football, and as such, our main responsibility is preparing and selecting squads for competitions that involve Great Britain such as the Deaflympics.

Great Britain Deaf Football are seeking a Head Coach to prepare and manage the Great Britain Deaf Men’s Squad for the Deaflympics that will be held in Tokyo during November 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to put the necessary structure in place, carry out all the necessary preparations, select and train players to prepare the squad to enable them to achieve their maximum potential.

This is a fixed term voluntary position and will expire on the 31st of December 2025 after the post-Deaflympics report and review has been carried out. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the GBDF Executive committee and the GBDF Football Director (once he/she has been appointed).
