BT Sport is launching Sign Up: a new initiative that aims to raise the profile of the deaf community within sport, make its programming accessible to all, and creating new opportunities.

Some key highlights for your diary:

26 December – Launch of BT Sport’s BSL Alphabet with Premier League players.

“A for Antonio” through to “Z for Row Z”, the series will allow everyone to learn the basics of BSL, and features the likes of Joe Cole, Jack Grealish and Jurgen Klopp.

6 January at 10pm on BT Sport 1 – Premieres the first episode of its new series, Deaf Away Day

A travelogue with Marios & Memnos Costi as they visit some of the biggest sporting events in the UK including rugby, football and track cycling.

3 February – New Signing Series begins introducing new BSL Football Pundits

Follow the journey of the new BSL Football Pundits as part of the New Signing, the BT Sport initiative supported by EE. The presenters will sign and present some of the biggest BT Sport football games next season, including the FA Disability Cup 2023.

As the National Governing Body for Deaf Sport, UK Deaf Sport are responsible for ensuring good governance including the administration and coordination of deaf sport teams competing abroad at both a British and Home Nation level. UK Deaf Sport is also responsible for the selection and management of the DeaflympicsGB Team, the official team that represents Great Britain at the Summer and Winter Deaflympics.
