Introducing Nick Brookes, Chair of UK Deaf Sport

It is our pleasure to introduce Nick Brookes as the new Chair of the UK Deaf Sport Board.

Nick formally stepped into his new role at the recent Annual General Meeting on Saturday 25 November 2023, taking over from Piers Martin.

Nick brings a wealth of experience in deaf sport having been the Deputy Chef de Mission for the DeaflympicsGB team at the 2005 Deaflympics in Australia. He was also the Chair of the British Deaf Tennis Association and helped to host the first World Deaf Tennis Championships. He is also a keen triathlete and cyclist.

Nick is a chartered accountant with over 30 years international business experience, including risk management and corporate governance and finance.

We warmly welcome Nick to the UK Deaf Sport Board.
