New UKDS Board Members

UK Deaf Sport (UKDS) are delighted to announce the appointment of Toby Burton and Vincent Pericard to the Board of Directors as finance and governance leads.  

Toby and Vincent were selected through a successful recruitment process with level= recruitment agency, and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Toby Burton is the Chief Financial and Operating Officer for Fastmarkets, a FTSE 250 listed business. He also previously worked at The Economist Group as Chief Financial Officer for 11 years. He is a proud member of the Deaf Community, a British Sign Language user, and former Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Royal Association for Deaf People. Toby’s has a passion for a range of sports having played competitive hockey as goalkeeper for 22 years, running marathons and is now involved in UK Deaf Badminton.

Vincent Pericard is a former professional footballer who played in France for Saint-Étienne and in the UEFA Champions League with Juventus. He also played in the Premier League for Portsmouth FC and Stoke City. Vincent retired from football in 2012 and achieved a First-Class Degree in Business Management and Masters in Accounting & Finance at the University of Portsmouth. He is the co-founder and director of a start-up called, The WhatsUp? Tech. A digital platform helping organisations to provide better support for the wellbeing and mental health challenges faced by their staff.
