Lindsey Lucas

Lindsey Lucas is UKDS Governance and Compliance Officer, bringing over 25 years of experience across both the private and not-for-profit sectors. Lindsey has held a number of senior leadership roles with responsibility for large multi-site services, budget oversight, and reporting to Boards and executive teams. Lindsey has extensive expertise in governance, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, organisational improvement, and leading high-performing teams.

Lindsey maintains professional registrations with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Learning Disability Nurse and with Social Work England as a Social Worker, reflecting her strong commitment to professional standards and person-centred practice. Lindsey holds a Master’s degree in Dementia and is passionate about continuous learning, always seeking opportunities to further develop her knowledge and skills.

Having experienced hearing loss since childhood, Lindsey brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her role. Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys volunteering at sporting events, travelling, and experiencing new places and cultures. She is excited to support the continued growth, success, and inclusive impact of UK Deaf Sport and looks forward to working with colleagues, athletes, partners, and the wider community.
